TRUE Zero Waste: Program Launch & Panel Discussion (RMG05)

Track: RMG - Market Transformation Tools
Format: Rocky Mountain Green Session, Moderated Panel
Full Description: The TRUE Zero Waste certification system enables facilities to define, pursue and achieve their zero waste goals, cutting their carbon footprint and supporting public health. This session introduces the TRUE rating system basics, certification process, and TRUE Advisor training course. The TRUE Zero Waste Certification has been quickly gaining traction in both domestic and international markets, with Tesla, New Belgium, Arizona State University, Delaware North, and others signing on. With TRUE, your facility can demonstrate to the world what you’re doing to minimize your waste output. After the TRUE rating system introduction, an expert panel will commence with members from actual TRUE project teams, industry experts, and TRUE staff. Through this discussion, attendees will gain an in depth understanding of what it takes for actual projects to achieve certification. Panel members will identify how their experience with TRUE has helped them achieve less waste, higher efficiency, and increased savings. The panel will open up to questions from the audience to engage in further discussion on the future of the TRUE rating system as it relates to the zero waste movement as a whole. TRUE promotes processes that consider the entire lifecycle of products used within a facility focusing on both front and back end waste reduction. This is a key component in protecting resources for current and future generations. TRUE promotes positive forces for environmental and economic sustainability in the built environment by protecting the environment, reducing costs and producing jobs throughout our economy.
