Crystal McDonald is a policy advisor in the Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs Office (WIP) at the US Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Her role is to identify, prioritize, and accelerate the adoption of policies and practices that transform markets. Currently, she is the sector lead for K-12 school districts and manages the municipal outdoor lighting initiative. Crystal earned a Masters in Energy and Environmental Management from The George Washington University, a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, and will soon complete the Partnership for Public Service Excellence in Government Fellows Program.
